Bidding goes like this:
1♥ P 1NT P
?
Hand is minimum (12-14/15) with 5♥-4♠-2-2, and 2/1 GF system, with forcing 1NT is played.
Please help! Thanks in advance

This is a pretty common problem hand. Pretty much everyone just bids 2♣. I'd bid 2♥ only if my hearts were very, very good.

Bid 2C. Responder does not have 4 spades, and if he has 2 hearts he'll go back to hearts. If he has 6 diamonds he'll bid 2D. If he has 5 clubs 2C will be as good as any place. He'll be be exactly 3-1-5-4 once in a blue moon, and you'll wish you could've passed 1NT. Don't sweat it. Can't recall ever getting 4-5-2-2 opposite 3-1-5-4.

Seriously, Flannery wsa invented precisely for this hand type. As an ex-flannerite of many years experience, I can tell you you don't need it. Rebid 2♣ (and make sure that you discuss this with your partners if possible)

My regular partner and I open 1NT more often than not with this pattern and 15-16 HCP. I can't say "it works great!", but I doubt anyone can claim that about the 2-card 2C rebid either.
Mind you, we do play 1M-1NT as semi-forcing and that 2m rebid almost always delivers a 4-card suit, so that probably has something to do with why I find the 2-card 2C rebid so hard to stomach.
Opening 1NT is definitely obscure. Agree that 2C is the "mainstream expert bid" with these hands.

I play gerber over first AND last NT!
Anyways more seriously rebid 2C as a default, I have rebid 2H once before with KQJTx and xx clubs, not sure how I feel about that.

In the spingold my partner rebid 2♦ on this shape with AQ xx in the minors. The opponents misdefended 2♥ to let him make, called the director who said there was nothing he could do, and were not amused. I was just laughing because I thought it was such a terrible bid.
Please let me know about any questions or interest or bug reports about GIB.

Heck -- I bid 2♣ when I have 4531 shape, so a doubleton is overkill. LOL

Agree that 2C is the 'mainstream' bid. It allows the maximum space for the responder.

We reverse 1NT and 1♠ wich solves it (Except when you have 16!).
Lacking that I think the standard is a 2♣ rebid.
