You have

Scoring: IMP

and the auction is:

1 1 Pass Pass
Dbl Pass

If you bid 2 at this point, it will continues 2 Pass Pass to you. If you bid higher, opps will be quiet so you won't have a followup problem.

You play standardish 5-card majors, 12 - 14 NT.

Q: 1-1-P-P-X-P-2-P-something-P-3?

Just curious what others think of that sequence.
"Gibberish in, gibberish out. A trial judge, three sets of lawyers, and now three appellate judges cannot agree on what this law means. And we ask police officers, prosecutors, defense lawyers, and citizens to enforce or abide by it? The legislature continues to write unreadable statutes. Gibberish should not be enforced as law."
