saw that earlier on another media outlet. i somehow doubt this was one of those super-duper japanese toilets with a nearby tv etc.

Saw this in one of the related stories:
Yeah, a "normal relationship". Except they didn't go out on the town, watch TV, go shopping together, etc. And I doubt sex was involved.
