Only 2 hands for now:

love all, MP's

Axxx
xx
xx
JT9xx

1-4-p-4
p-p-5-?

and a really cute one:

MP's

N (dealer)

Axx
x
void
AKJT98xxx

opposite

S

xx
AKTxx
AQT9xx
void

W will bid 1 if given the chance, but that's all the intervention you'll get in this board.

I know "these are not the hands your system should be geared for". Still, for general theoretical interest, what would your sequence be in your favorite system?

1. 5 (I assume 4 was a 65+ majors)

2. Hum.. dunno. Will probably end up in 5 after N bidding those a couple times.

oh and a play problem

IMP's

you open 2NT and pd signs off in 3NT, lho leads what looks like 4th club from 5 and dummy tables:

Txx
Axx
J9xxx
9x

your hand:

AKx
QJ9x
AQx
AJx

You put in the 9 and RHO covers with the Queen.
... and I can prove it with my usual, flawless logic.

Duck 2 clubs and cash A

1-4 is a bid I never seen yet, has o be something special and I bid 5.

the other hand starts
1-1- (1)

and now I have no clue, I was willing to fake a reverse, this means I have to pass 1!, I dunno if I would had the guts.

1-1- (1)
pass-X
4-5
6

All the bids after 1 are highly debatable, I ain't so sure of any of all except last pass.

On hand #1, I find the 4 bid to be extremely strange. Without prior agreement, I would interpret it as preemptive with diamonds.

I always play 1 of a minor - 3 of a minor as preemptive, so I don't see why 4 wouldn't be preemptive.

There are plently of other ways to show the majors - double, Michaels cue bid, bid both suits. Why should 4 be for the majors?

1. 4 is some kind of super michaels? I think this is the type of hand I can take the push on. If pard has some sort of super 5=6=1=1, it wouldn't surprise me to make 5, and be able to set 5 only 1.

2. I don't know what I'd do with the North hand. It probably changes day to day. I guess I'd end up in 6C and not be happy with the result.

3. Play Problem - Its going to be difficult to keep RHO off lead. I'll probably duck the 1st two clubs and play A-Q diamonds hoping for 2s's, 2h's 4d's and 1c losing 2C's, 1h and 1d along the way.
