problems about symbols of ♠♥♣♦ please help

I started using a linux Operating System I could not see the symbols of ♠♥♣♦ in the bidding box under the new system. Do you know what problem it is ,how to solve it ? thank you .

I expect you need to get the true type symbol font..

BBO uses the Symbol.ttf font. You can get it from a Windows installation, and put it where is reachable by Wine. (either in C:\windows\fonts or a system wide directory).

Thank you, it works great!

It is also important to pay attention to the permissions and the ownership of the symbols.ttf file. I had to set it to 755 in order to work as expected.

I have same kind of problem (can't read the suit symbol) when I run Applocale for Simplified Chinese whereas I am using Windows XP with Traditional Chinese. Can anyone help me to solve this problem?
