As at the time of posting, Ben is only 299 posts short of 10k posts. What do we think 10k posts should be called? (Apart from insane) <_<

Note he has only one blue square under his name.
He will now test what happens when he reaches 10000 posts.

When I reached 2500 post, the title was bored-out-of-my-mind (back then, anything over 1000 post was titled "world class poster" and anything over 500-999 was "expert poster"). The old scale was:

Newbie poster.. .0 to 9 post
Novice poster... 10 to 49 post
Beginner poster ... 50 to 99 post
Intemediate poster.. .100 to 249 post
Advanced poster... 250 to 499 post
Expert poster... 500 to 999 post
World class poster.. .1000 to 2499 post
Bored out of my mind.. .2500+ post

This sequence was no end of problem. Good bridge players seemed to be insulted by having a lable Novice or beginner (alhtough it referred to posing not bridge level), and there were post about people posting non-sense just to up there total to become an "expert". This caused rain to change the default setting (those shown, with the exception of "bored out of my mind".

AT the time I hit the 2500 threshold, there were many post about that, see for example,http://forums.bridgebase.com/index.php?sho...indpost&p=20970. Yet today, there are 15 posters with more than 2500. Each one crossing that threshold without comment (since I took the "heat off". At one time, having 3000 post earned the title of "ben" (what a great title, choosen by rain). Today if that standard still existed there would be 9 people with the "ben" title, and Ron would be only 6 post away from that title.

Currently, the number 2 poster (rain) is 4412 post behind me. So if she post 10 times a day (and I stop posting), she will pass my total in less than 442 days, however at her current rate of posting (3.7 post per day), it will take her 3.27 years to catch me (1192 days)... hmmm, ok, I get it. I post too much, no one can have that much of interest to say.

I still want to have "key lime pie" for my food choice instead of the arbitrary one that's imposed. lol

Heh..it's all relative. In a lot of forums your post count wouldn't even be that high, but forums like that are typically much more active. I am kind of sad to report that this forum isn't even the one I post on the most...or even the second most. lol.

Who wants to read all of them? I can't read all the books in the world either even though I'd like to, but because there are so many I can pick out the best ones. The fact that there are too many threads to read isn't really a detriment, it allows you to be more picky.

I would certainly be insulted at being called a novice or beginner poser :)
