The Gold Cup Final (eight sessions) will be broadcast from the Peebles Hydro again this year. Do we know if the organisers, presumably the SBU, will get a better Internet connection than last year which had dreadful connectivity problems.

Gold Cup Final Better connection?

We do. The SBU was obviously aware of the problems they had last year, so Peter Cohen (the convenor) and Margaret Pemble (operator and organiser) were at the venue a few weeks ago to test everything thoroughly.
It went very well (no disconnects in 6 hours), so it's reasonable to expect that we will be getting a much more reliable connection on December 10. No guarantees, of course, but the organisers could not have done more than they did.
"Please keep fingers, legs, toes and anything else crossed for good communications for the weekend", was what I got from Margaret Pemble after they came back from Peebles.

It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice

Thanks Roland - good news and hopefully all will go well. An enthusiast like Margaret deserves lots of luck
