You may have guessed already: October will be yet another exciting vugraph month. Most of the events are already listed at

but far from everything. We know for a fact that the following events will be added as soon as I have received the detailed info we need:

1. Women's Lady Milne Trials from England.
2. Women's Elite Tournament from China (8 top teams from around the world).
3. University World Championships from China.
4. Unspecified tournament from China.
5. Another unspecified tournament from China.

Oct. 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 will be vugraph-free (never say never), but from the 7th and onwards we will be having at least one broadcast every day, with plenty of overlaps.

The most prestigious of them all is no doubt the European Champions' Cup from Rome. The national champions from the 11 leading European nations (Italy will field two teams) will be competing for the title and honours.

This is the third event of the competition which was revived in 2002 in Warsaw, Poland. The winners of that event were Italy, followed by Israel and Norway. Italy was more than successful ever since, as no other country has succeeded in winning this tournament.

After the inaugural event, the tournament travelled to Rome, Barcelona and Brussels. This year, the Champions' Cup returns to Rome's Parioli Tennis Club, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the club.

The 11 nations are: Italy, Ireland, Norway, Sweden, Germany, France, Hungary, Netherlands, Iceland, Poland and England.
