If the situation doesn't improve, we'll soon have 2 new countries: North Belgium and South Belgium.

Belgian beer >> german beer IMO on a considerable size sample in both cases, mainly for reasons of variety as Germans are so restricted legally in what they can brew.

Dives for the bunker having lit the fuse on that one.

If that is the case, then they must have made some pretty shocking ones since :)

Absolutely killed several types of beer that used to be made in Germany and are now only found elsewhere.

Now that they are no longer ruled by the Northern islamic regime, maybe they are allowed to brew beer? The country is probably the poorest in the World so they could use some extra income.

Yeah, turning David Hasselhoff into a national treasure was just criminal, although I suppose not done by the government :D

On the original topic, I'm amazed they managed to get the country split and wish them all the luck in the world, they're going to need it.

Both have good beers, but Westvleteren (2nd best in the world this year, has been the best several times) is part of the North (North-West to be exact). Yeehaaw!

I'm a Kasteel man but also like lots of the others, hoping to go to Zythos beer festival in 2012.
