Before the deadline (8~10 days per round), play 4 sets of 16boards MP best hand challenge against the opponent.
--------Even more Detail----------
Tie breaker (within a group)
0. Breaking the higher rank first if there are multiple ties
1. Match result vs. each other
2. Match result vs. rank#1 (among others), then Match result vs. rank#2,...etc.
3. If everything is identical (unlikely), then I'll look at the IMP and follow step 1. 2.
4. If still identical (lol), then I'll decide the play-off
Fail to finish
1. People who fail to finish any match are eliminated (unless with valid excuse), please don't do it.
2. I'll assign score to/decide how to deal with the player playing against people who fail to finish.
8th place
1. If you are from a group with someone fail to finish (therefore your group is effectively 10 or fewer people), then you have low priority in advancing.
2. Otherwise it's base on matchpoint, highest two among four 8th place advance.

Previously barmar can ask BBO to make exception for people in this event to use adv. bot for free. I'm not sure if it's still available. If not, I think the fair way is for everyone to use basic bot (and free).
For the two matches by ArtK78 I'll still count but please don't make further challenge before further instruction.

That sounds like a good idea.

For example if the score in the group is like 60,60,58,55,51,51,50,45,41,40,39. Then we follow the procedure to decide which 60 should be first and which should be second. After that we decide which 51 should be 5th and which 51 should be 6th.
You report it by replying to this thread with hand record and score. See the thread of earlier events for examples.

you must be british )) I think this was a case of two peoples separated by a common language. Yet when explained in detail it makes perfect sense.
ties broken from the top down using the steps below (my lack of linguistic flexibility might explain why the robot dummy is rarely what I anticipate)
